Eddy is an artist, dancer, workshop facilitator, somatic body worker, improvisor, sound maker, odd jobber and anti-zionist jewish buddhist transwitch, from Toronto (unceded territory of many nations, including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples), currently based in Greenfield, MA (Wissatinnewag, unceded territory ). They received a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary fine art from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in so called Canada, & soon after moved across the sea to take part in Tanzfabrik´s Dance Intensive program in 2016. They lived in Berlin for 8 years, facilitating arts residencies, community spaces and workshops, dancing, studying and practicing the Pantarei Approach (a somatic bodywork modality), various kinds of care work, drumming as a choreographic and spiritual practice, and thinking / making with an array of artists such as Tone F Pony, Inky Lee, An* Neely, Caitlin Fisher, Maria Scaroni, Danielle Magee, Helah Cooper, Camila Malenchini, and Jean P´ark.
Since moving to the states, they have been slowing down, sharpening their politics, learning to farm, teaching dance classes, giving somatic bodywork sessions, sewing a lot, offering trainings in a peer mental health modality called Emotional CPR and collaborating with artists such as Hana Van Der Kolk, Mara Poliak, Hilary Kennedy, Kiran Jandu and Sunny Allis.
Eddy´s practice is expansive and various, a playground for cross-disciplinary collaborative making, rerouting, slowing down, deep listening, queer neurodivergent expression, and personal / communal transformation.
